About me - Your passion in safe hands

My name is Florian Eder. I was born in 1983 in Finkenberg, in the heart of the Zillertal valley – right at the foot of the Penken, one of the most famous paragliding areas in the Alps. Perhaps it was this very location that sparked my passion for paragliding.

Even as a child, I was fascinated by the idea of seeing the world from above. My uncles, both enthusiastic pilots, infected me with the “flying bug” at an early age. At the age of 9, I made my first attempts – still without a license, but with enormous enthusiasm.

At the age of 15, the time had finally come: I got my first paragliding license (basic course) and was able to take to the skies on my own. From then on, it was clear: this was my sport. More licenses quickly followed – the A license, the B license (cross-country authorization) and finally, in 2003, the big step: training to become a state-certified tandem pilot.

My experience – flying is my life

Since then, my life has been spent in the air:

• Thousands of tandem flights in the Zillertal valley and beyond
• Flying trips worldwide – always in search of new adventures
• Participation in paragliding competitions around the globe
• Active for years in hike & fly, a combination of hiking, mountaineering, and paragliding – pure mountain sports and freedom in one!

After many years as a tandem pilot for various companies and working in a paragliding workshop (TÜV)
for one of the world's best-known manufacturers, 2021 was the moment I had been waiting for to live my dream:
